Malaysians Are A Download Hungry Bunch

Besides being hardcore pirates (yeah, this is a generalisation, so don’t sue me), Malaysians are also a download hungry bunch. We download everything from mp3s to anime episodes, and are darn good at it too.

It’s no surprise, if we can’t get original, we get them pirated. If we can’t get them pirated, we download.

Good point. That’s probably why we rank tops for anime, and not for movies (where pirated copies are still easily found). Of course, I’m ignoring the population factor here.

actually it bloody dumb got them to only allocate 100 slots for downloading, what they think we are some 3rd world country living on coconut trees?

It’s something like that. It’s actually a ploy to get you to download their Megaupload Toolbar, which allows you to bypass this limit. However, the toolbar, which is actually a co-branded version of the Alexa Toolbar, can only be installed on IE.

Bleh, who’d want it then?
