Not Switching From Blog:CMS and NP_GlobalBlacklist

I’ve decided against switching from Blog:CMS. Yes, I know that this post comes just ten minutes after I wrote the previous post, but I’m pretty fickle after all. :)

The reasons for my decision are actually not really that obvious, so I’ll list them.

  1. Post URLs would change as different Content Management Systems (CMS) use completely different permalink configurations.
  2. Might actually lose the meager PageRank 2 that Google has bothered to give this blog if I do too many changes.
  3. Too lazy to upload WordPress.
  4. Diversity in blog software is GOOD, especially since I’ll be able to learn more about the various offerings by developers worldwide.
  5. Found NP_GlobalBlacklist - an anti-comment spam plugin that matches popular SPAM keywords, IPs and referrers (the site that brought you to this blog, e.g. Google, Yahoo!).
  6. Wanted to try NP_GlobalBlacklist. It might work or it might not. Hopefully it does, as I do not feel like using CAPTCHA again.
