South Korea: Nice. Yeah, That’s It.

Yep, this post is ages late given that I returned to M’sia almost two weeks ago, but better late than never, right? Anyway, here’s a photo set of the pics I took during the trip. Quite a few of you might have seen it already, but for those who haven’t, try not to laugh to much at the pics with me in it, k? Not that there are that many of them since I went there with only one 128MB SD Card. Zzzz. A lesson in forgetfulness.

Seoul and Incheon looked pretty much like KL in the late 80s / early 90s, so nothing really interesting there. Of course, it was nice to see a few of my fav. joints there, with cybercafes and coffee cafes littering the place. If any of you happen to go there, remember that all their cybercafes have “PC” in their names. If you don’t, well… I hope you can speak Korean, since they definitely can’t speak much English.

If there was anything I found really nice about S.K., it was everything outside their cities. They have beautiful scenery, though nothing spectacular if compared to Europe, of course. Hills, mountains and just green stuff was probably a nice change from the smog and cars, and buildings, and whatever in KL and Singapore.

Oh yes, let’s not forget all the movie sets that I had to go to. 3 in fact. Winter Sonata, Daejonggum, and one other Korean drama series that I haven’t heard of before. Why doesn’t Malaysia have these kind of things? Our tourism industry would probably double in size with just one famous movie set. At least, that’s what I would think based on the number of tourists flying into South Korea just becaused they watched Winter Sonata or Daejonggum.

And I hope you guys aren’t expecting fancy souvenirs because things there were at least 3 times more expensive than Malaysia. I did buy some stuff though (pretty much what the other tourists bought as well), but even that cost around RM 10 per person already. Sheesh. No wonder those guys make US$3,000 per month on average.
