Starbucks and Maxis Utopia
You know when you have sunk to the lowest of the low when you are forced to visit Starbucks to use the internet. Well, that’s only because I wanted to use my notebook and not some wierd ass desktops in wierd internet-enabled cybercafes.
Worse still is the cost involved. Maxis Utopia, i.e. Maxis wireless hotspot subscription service, costs RM 33 per month. Sitting on a Starbucks chair, dumping my notebook on a Starbucks table and plugging my laptop into a Starbucks plug point cost me RM 11.50 for a ice-blended rhumba. Well, I know that’s my fault, but when you need a stable connection to fill in a god damn official personality test… what choice do you have.
