Web 2.0 Apps and Sheer Boredom
Boredom is unlimited and unrestrained. Even the most interesting of things can get boring over time.
And that’s exactly the case when it comes to all the hyped Web 2.0 services, with a new one launching almost every other day. On this blog alone, I’ve talked about my experiments with 30Boxes, Google Calendar, etc.
I was bored when I tried them out, but I’m pretty bored of them now. I guess it’s a matter of how useful and relevant they are to you. At first, an online calendar to manage my schedule sounded great, but as time passed, I realised that I’m not close to busy enough to need one. For calendars or scheduling software to become relevant, you need to be involved with not only many activities, but also a diverse range of them.
Of course, this rant doesn’t mean I’ll stop trying new ones… Any of you tried out Carbonmade yet?
